• Welcome!

  • The Writing Center offers individual peer writing consultations, workshops, and resources to all DU students, faculty, and staff. All the work we do with writers is interactive, conversation-based, and learning-oriented. Our goal is to work with you to help you refresh your writing skills and habits, learn new resources and strategies, and meet your writing goals.

We welcome everyone. Regardless of your language background, experience, education, or confidence level, we are here to work with you.

We recommend that you make an appointment ahead of time and prepare for your consultation by having your draft, the assignment, and other relevant texts handy. Consider your priorities and goals: which section of a longer paper do you most want to discuss? What specific aspects of clarity or structure do you want to work on? What are you hoping to do with your consultant? Be prepared to ask questions and to participate actively in the consultation.
