Writing Center Opens on September 20
The Writing Center is closed this week so that our many new staff members learn our practices and prepare to work with writers this quarter.
Our fall schedule will include in-person and Zoom appointments. We will reopen on Monday, September 20, 2021.

The Writing Center offers individual writing consultations, workshops, peer reviews, and resources to all DU students, faculty, and staff. All the work we do with student, staff, and faculty writers is interactive, conversation-based, and learning-oriented. Our goal is to work with you to help you refresh your writing skills and habits and to learn new strategies and practices. Currently, all our offerings take place in Zoom.
We recommend that you make an appointment ahead of time and prepare for your consultation by having your draft, the assignment, and other relevant texts handy. Consider your priorities and goals: which section of a longer paper do you most want to discuss? What specific aspects of clarity or structure do you want to work on? What are you hoping to do with your consultant? Be prepared to ask questions and to participate actively in the consultation.
