Service Narrative
My primary service activity has been in assessment (assurance of learning). This is a summary of my involvement in assessment at various academic levels:
Department:
Co-chair since 2012, writing all university reports since 2014, chair currently (gradual release of responsibilities from Don Bacon): revise LOs periodically, develop/revise as necessary assessment blueprints, identify assessment tasks annually, coordinate data collection, analyze data as necessary, lead faculty discussions, compile 3-7 LO-specific reports from other faculty each year, write two reports annually (MS, BSBA) for university accreditation
Daniels:
Present college assessment findings/reports annually to share best practices across departments, meet with AACSB committee to discuss reaccreditation, attend AACSB conference, create checkpoint exam to support ugrad assessment process, analyze data annually, meet with and discuss with MKTG 2800 faculty, make recommendations, write report annually
University:
Inaugural class of university assessment fellows (quarterly meetings plus department consultations), assist other departments in designing assessment processes, review and provide feedback for university assessment reports, provide training to new faculty fellows, participate in processes to choose new university assessment software
