  • Interests and Expertise

  • My courses span more than seven hundred years of the history of Italian language, literature and culture. I specifically design them to be interdisciplinary and I expose students to a variety of genres, theoretical approaches to literary criticism and to the linguistic subtleties of the ever-changing Italian language.

I truly enjoy teaching students at all levels and I am fully committed to advising and mentoring students during all stages of their academic and professional careers. In Spring 2012, I was awarded the Faculty Advisor of the Year Award at the University-Wide Pioneer Awards Ceremony.

*All of my courses at DU have been originally designed and individually taught, unless otherwise noted. The vast majority have been taught in Italian, unless otherwise indicated.

  • Advising & Mentoring

  • Advising and Mentoring are integral aspects of my work. I view both as extensions of teaching that have the potential to advance student persistence and success, as well as positively advancing faculty development. My current career goal is to foster collaborations, envision and streamline new and innovative processes that ultimately move conversations and initiatives (with students and faculty) to the next phase.
