Our regional organization, with a great annual conference that we encourage you to submit a presentation to. This year (2020), the conference will be in Pueblo, and next year (2021), we will be hosting.
The major professional organization for writing centers. The annual conference is in October, and submissions for the following year are generally due in late March. We'll remind you to apply! IWCA also offers grants and scholarships.
The second major professional organization, with a semi-annual conference in early November; submissions are generally due in late April for the following year.
CWWCA: Colorado Wyoming Writing Centers Association
The regional CWWCA conference takes place most years on a Saturday in April; we will be hosting the conference in 2021. In 2020, this conference will take place in April at Colorado State University Pueblo. Click here for past programs.
IWCA is the major professional and academic organization supporting writing centers in the US across the world.
The IWCA annual conference offers opportunities to present papers in a variety of forms, including works in progress. The annual conference is generally held in mid- to late-October, and upcoming conferences will be held in Atlanta (2018); Columbus, Ohio (2019); and Vancouver, British Columbia (2020).
NCPTW: National Council on Peer Tutoring in Writing
NCPTW is also a major professional and academic organization that supports writing centers and writing center tutors. and particulatrly welcomes undergraduate tutors The conference is held in early November.
