Advanced Electrodynamics II
In spring 2008, graduate students in E&M II conducted term projects investigating applications of E&M topics in contemporary research. They presented their work in brief talks to the class and in longer summaries, each including an annotated bibliography. Following are links to the presentations and handouts.
Brian Appleby: Organic Photovoltaics and the Optical Parametric Oscillator
Xin Jiang: Modeling Light Absorption in Organic Photovoltaics
Brian Kloppenborg: Application of Electrodynamics to Carbon Nanotube Antennas
Huicong Qiao: Giant Magneto-Resistance Effect and Data Storage
Ajaya Sigdel: Comparing the Conductivity of Oxide Semiconductors with Silicon Semiconductors
