What inspired you to choose RMS as a field of study?
Over time, I’ve found myself doing more and more evaluation and research in my work, and I’ve found myself needing to understand those topics to work with my project partners. While googling yet another methodology term, an ad for DU popped up!
What are your research interests?
My research interests are informal education (specifically libraries and museums), Collective Impact, Community Engagement and D.E.I.A. issues
What are your professional and/or academic goals?
I hope to be able to raise the profile of qualitative research in informal education. Informal education relies on quantitative methods borrowed from formal education and is often missing the rich information available from qualitative data. I’d also like to encourage the field to push the evaluation envelope, really experimenting with what is evaluable in informal education settings.
