  • Peter Laz is a Professor in Mechanical and Materials Engineering and part of the Center for Orthopaedic Biomechanics.

    He received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University, and MS and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. He was a Fulbright scholar in Germany and also worked at the Southwest Research Institute.  He has been at DU since 2001.

    His research is in the area of probabilistic mechanics with applications to orthopaedic implants, materials and reliability-based design.
