Job and Internship Opportunities

  • Internship, Work Study, and Job Opportunities

Internships are a great way for students to gain experience and figure out if their major/minor is the right fit for them. DU offers many ways for students to get ahead in their field with internship opportunities.

     First Steps:

The first thing any student should do if they are looking for an internship is to meet with an advisor. An advisor will help you find internships that fit your experience level and will help you narrow down your search. Additionally, advisors can look over your resume, cover letter, LinkedIn profile, etc. To book an appointment with an advisor, click here and find your department that you are majoring in. Then, click on the link that fits your department and find where you can book an appointment. Students should also be able to book an appointment by going to PioneerWeb, clicking the Students tab, and then clicking "Book an Appointment".

    Internships for Credit:

Some students may be able to use their internship experience for credit with DU. If you want to secure a summer internship and register to use it for credit, be aware that you will have to pay for tuition for the summer quarter. For transfer students, this could be a great way to catch up on credits that may have been abandoned during the transfer process. If you are interested in learning more or are planning to secure credit for your internship, click here.

    General Internships:

For any student looking for any kind of internship, visit Pioneer Careers. Through this website, you can find any organization or company that is specifically looking for DU students to hire! You can filter the search by clicking on what kind of internship you want as well as when it will take place. Please keep in mind that most internships on PioneerCareers will also require you to apply through their company website after turning your application into PioneerCareers. Another thing to remember is that your resume needs to be approved by DU Career Services prior to any applications you turn in. You will not be able to apply for any opportunity without turning your resume into PioneerCareers and receiving approval. This process can take a little while, so it's best to meet with an advisor right away and get started early!
