  • About Lisa

    Lisa is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Florida State University College of Social Work. Her research focuses on systemic collaboration among responders in heath and human services roles, particularly those who work with interpersonal violence (e.g., intimate partner violence, sexual assault, stalking). She recently completed her PhD at the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work (Dissertation: Working the Front Lines of Intimate Partner Violence: Responders' Perceptions of Interrole Collaboration). She continues to serve as an adjunct faculty member for the Graduate School of Social Work, teaching Evidence for Practice in the MSW program.


    Lisa received both her B.S. in Psychology and Sociology (2009) and her M.S.W. (2011) from Florida State University, during which time she worked with the Institute for Family Violence Studies at the Florida State University College of Social Work. Lisa's masters-level internships included crisis counseling for victims of crime, particularly domestic violence, and medical social work.


    While at the University of Denver, Lisa served as an on-call victim advocate for the DU Sexual Assault Survivor Advocate Network, assisted in planning the 2013 Pedagogy of Privilege Conference, and collaborated with colleagues on academic publications and presentations.
