The 18th Annual Virginia Woolf Conference was held at the University of Denver, June 19-22, 2008. Drawing over 150 participants, the three-day event featured keynote speaker Brenda Silver (Dartmouth College) who delivered a lecture in honor of recently deceased Woolf scholar Julia Briggs. The Tattered Cover Bookstore hosted the opening reception, and the DU Women's College hosted the final breakfast. Carol Samson, Marsico Lecturer and DU PhD, directed a theatre performance of A Writer's Diary, and Kim Robards Dance performed at the Saturday evening banquet. Panel sessions were held in the HRTM building. Eleanor McNees organized and managed the conference with considerable assistance from graduate students in the English Department.
