Guest Speaker Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program:

    August 2017

As a guest panelist for the 2017 Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange program held in Denver, I shared advice, motivation, and spoke about lessons on civic engagement collected as a Youth Commissioner, Senate District 30 Representative, and life experiences. I encouraged emerging leaders from across Iraq to never lose hope, and reminded them of the ripple effects one individual can have, as they seek to implement an action plan in their own country. From that life-changing experience and network to guide, they grew and became leaders in their own countries. Their stories and passion left me inspired to continue to amplify youth voices and actions.
