• Welcome!

  • Welcome (or welcome back) to the DU Writing Center!

We reopen for 45-minute consultations and workshops on Wednesday, January 5.

All consultations will be online at least through Sunday, January 16

(and we're closed on Monday, January 17, in honor of MLK Jr Day)

You can make up to two Zoom consultation appointments per week. We hope to bring back in-person consultations during week 3, depending on campus Covid protocols!

    Questions?

Write to us at wrc@du.edu, and we'll get back to you.

  • The Writing Center offers individual writing consultations, workshops, peer reviews, and resources to all DU students, faculty, and staff. All the work we do with student, staff, and faculty writers is interactive, conversation-based, and learning-oriented. Our goal is to work with you to help you refresh your writing skills and habits and to learn new strategies and practices. Currently, all our offerings take place in Zoom.

We recommend that you make an appointment ahead of time and prepare for your consultation by having your draft, the assignment, and other relevant texts handy. Consider your priorities and goals: which section of a longer paper do you most want to discuss? What specific aspects of clarity or structure do you want to work on? What are you hoping to do with your consultant? Be prepared to ask questions and to participate actively in the consultation.
