Susanne Klawetter, LCSW, is a doctoral student at the Graduate School of Social Work, University of Denver. She received her MSSW from the University of Texas at Austin. After practicing as a clinical social worker with families involved in the juvenile justice and Departement of Human Service systems, Susanne served in a lecturer at the School of Social Work, Baylor University. She is pursuing a doctorate in social work to deepen her research skills so that she may continue to contribute meaningfully to the social work profession.
Research interests include issues related to human health and wellness, particularly for women and children. Specific areas of interest include social determinants of maternal and child health, early childhood intervention, feminist family therapy, and gendered oppression.
