With support from the National Academy of Education and the Spencer Foundation, RyanEG is analyzing federal, state, and institutional policy related to undocumented students in higher education. This project seeks to disrupt normative understandings of policy and policy analysis by examining the inner-logics and ideologies of policy. Through rigorous discursive analyses, RyanEG demonstrates ways that policy produces new realities in the identities of policy subjects (e.g., students), the configuring of policy problems (e.g., immigration), and the delimitations of potential policy solutions (e.g., tuition benefits).
