I am currently a faculty member in leadership studies at the University of Denver (DU) as well as Associate Director of the Pioneer Leadership Program. I received my doctorate from the Department of Human Communication Studies at DU. The topic of my dissertation was "Mentoring dialogues: An investigation of the dialectical tensions and management strategies in mentoring relationships."
My professional experience includes fifteen years in institutions of higher education in various capacities including career development, leadership development, operations, and event management. My previous educational background includes a Masters of Arts in Education from DU with emphasis in counseling and university administration, and an undergraduate degree in business administration from Bucknell University. Additionally, my research interests include communication in mentoring, mentoring and leadership, and communication and learning.
