  • Biographical Description

  • Professor of the Practice of Social Work Michele Sienkiewicz is a member of the Field Education Faculty at GSSW. She joined the Field Team in 2002 and has worked in the areas of student placement, agency development, field instructor training, liaison supervision, and program development.

    In 2010, she became the Associate Director for Field Education for our Denver campus program, supervising four Field Coordinators, thirty two community liaisons and over 450 students annually.  In July 2016, was appointed the Associate Director for Online Field Education at GSSW and joined the Online MSW team to prepare for our first cohort of online MSW students in January 2017.

    Prior to moving to Denver, Ms. Sienkiewicz worked in foster care, adoption and independent living services in New York City. Prior to joining the GSSW faculty, she taught a variety of social work practice courses and provided field instruction for students as an adjunct faculty member at several colleges in New York and Colorado.
