Dr. Lynn Parker, MSW, PhD, is a professor with the University of Denver, Graduate School of Social Work and faculty and Approved AAMFT supervisor with the Denver Family Institute, a postgraduate family therapy training center. She also maintains a small private psychotherapy practice. She is a couples and family therapy specialist, having practiced in the field for more than 30 years. Her focus is on social justice issues in families, couples, and society. She conducts research and writes about how to address power, privilege, and oppression in therapeutic work. She is the coordinator for, and teaches in, the Family Track. As well she is faculty for the Mexico course, Global Relations and Poverty in Mexico. Her book, co-authored with Rhea Almeida and Ken Dolan Del Vecchio, is Tranformative Family Therapy: Just Families in a Just Society (2008).
