My name is Erin Beasley and I'm a member of the University of Denver class of 2019! I am currently studying Molecular Biology and Psychology with minors in Leadership Studies, Music, and Chemistry. I'm pursuing a degree in Molecular Biology with the intention of being a genetic counselor working with oncology. I have been fascinated with the study of genetics since middle school, and I want to use my passion and education to make a difference in peoples' lives.
I love getting to serve other people and some of the most joyful times in my life have been on various mission and service trips. Through my youth group and high school, I was able to work with several organizations including the Texas Boys Ranch and Saint Benedict's Chapel, a soup kitchen that served food to the homeless downtown.
I am originally from Lubbock, TX and I was heavily involved in my high school. Whether I was conducting our marching band or working as a senior class officer, I loved to be as involved as I could possibly be. I can honestly say that there were very few opportunities I turned down.
Outside of class, I take advantage of the mountains and snowboard as often as I can. I enjoy taking yoga classes and going to concerts, and I also love to read and hammock, usually simultaneously.
