  • Dr. Dennis Wittmer is Professor, Management Department, Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. He currently teaches business ethics and social responsibiltiy classes to graduate and undergraduate students at the Daniels College.

    Dennis received his Ph.D. in public administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.  His dissertation on ethical perception and managment was awarded the best dissertation by the Public and Nonprofit  Division of the Academy of Managementl.

    Dr. Wittmer has provided consulting and corporate training services for such organizations as Enserca Engineering, Newmont Mining, the Lottery Commission of Colorado, Metro Denver Association of Health Underwriters, Lockheed Martin, International Society for Special Events, First Data Corp., the Garibaldi Group, the City of Englewood, John Mansville, State Auditors of Colorado, Public Saftety Officials of Colorado, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Timet Titanium, Veterinarian Management Groups, Kaiser, Sports Authority, Campion Animal Practices of North America, DISH, EMS Staff of HealthOne, and the Latino Leadership Institute.

    Dennis has also done international training in business with managers from Russia, and he taught MBA students at Kuwait University and the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology in Taiwan. On severall occasions Dennis has also taught a course for Masters degree students in Mexico City.

    For seveal years Dennis led courses to the Scandinavian countries, visiting various businesses such as Nokia, Ericsson, Absolut, Carlsberg, and Opera Software.

    Professor’s Wittmer’s research includes ethical decision making in management, ethical climates in organizations, and pedagogical approaches to teaching business ethics.

    Dennis enjoys skiing, biking, hiking, fishing and all of the outdoors activities Colorado has to offer!
