  • Dead Sea Scrolls Specialist

    Alison Schofield is Associate  Professor of Hebrew Bible and Judaic studies, with a joint appointment in the Department of Religious Studies and the Center for Judaic Studies. She specializes in the Dead Sea Scrolls, acting as one of three major editors of the Dead Sea Scrolls in  the new translation and commentary series, The Dead Sea Scrolls Editions.  She has published on the charter text of The Community Rule, answering the question of who wrote the Dead Sea Scrolls, and is currently working a new translation, edition and commentary on The Community Rule under contract with Brill Publishers.
