They take more liberties with the melody than we will do. We will sing the notes and rhythms as printed on the score. We will also not sing the a cappella choral postlude at the end.

However, the feeling and sentiment of this recording is worth modeling.

  • Walk Together Children

  • Stand Up (from the movie "Harriet")

  • Stop By, Lord - GIA

  • No Room in the Inn

This choir doesn't perform the song with the same rhythmic intensity that I'm asking for, but it is a good representation of the song. Also the canon they recorded at the is not exactly as is in the score edition which we are following and does not have the coda (ending) section. ("He was born in a manger...")

  • I've been 'buked (Hall Johnson)

The choir for this recording has changed one of the rhythms ("... and I've been scorned"). We will adhere to what is written on the score and what we've rehearsed.

  • Ewe Thina (We Walk This Way)
