  • About Me

  • At the University of Denver, I have completed the Animals and Human Health-Certificate. I am originally from Germany, based in London and trained as an academic (some of my past research can be found here). I also pursue a literary career and have been lucky to have won a few prizes with my (German) books of poetry.

I have taught philosophy at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, Jena University, the Munich School of Philosophy and the University of Graz, with my main interests lying in philosophical pragmatism, animal ethics and politics as well as the role of emotions in reasoning. I share my passion for animals, critical thinking and creative writing through teaching, both in traditional academic settings and in workshops for various audiences.

Here, I present my work on 'animal-assisted philosophy' specifically: an umbrella term I came up with for a series of creative teaching and writing formats for people who want to improve their relations with other animals by thinking with them and not just about them.
