Just in time for the gift-giving season, the Half the Sky* Fair is a festival of education, entertainment, and philanthropic fun!
*Inspired by the book "Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide" written by Pulitzer Prize winners Nicholas D. Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn, a group of volunteers associated with the Colorado Women's College at the University of Denver created the Half the Sky* Fair. Throughout much of the world, the greatest unexploited economic resource is the female half of the population. Unleashing the power of women through education is not only the right thing to do; it's also the best strategy for fighting poverty.
