Turabian style is a standard citation system used by students in a wide variety of disciplines and is actually a version of Chicago Style, which has been in widespread use since 1891!
Students at University College generally use Author-Date style, while students in other programs at DU (Lamont School of Music, for example), might use Notes-Bibliography style.
When using Turabian style, be sure to confirm which of the two forms you should be using: author-date or notes-bibliography. We offer condensed handouts for both varieties that you can download:
