The Department of Research Methods and Information Science (RMIS) Student Research Conference will be held on
Friday May 15, 2020 - Online 2020 RMIS Student Research Confernce (Online access information has been provided to the registrants)
This conference will highlight student achievements in research and creative activities and features both academic and practitioner research. Academic research involves studies and projects geared toward empirical findings and theory generation, while practitioner research involves the use of systematic methods and conceptualization to produce practice models and improve professional practices. Practitioner research allows graduate students to capitalize on their coursework and relevant projects.
This event provides a forum for our students to highlight their research and applied work in a welcoming, collegial, and intellectually stimulating environment that fosters the creation and exchange of ideas and community engagement in RMIS. The conference will provide an opportunity for interdisciplinary knowledge sharing; scholarly and professional communication; and peer-to-peer and expert feedback.
