  • Biographical Description

  • Paula A. Holt teaches as a Full Teaching Professor of Business Ethics and Legal Studies in the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. Paula currently teaches the Foundations of Business Law in a department ranked by the Wall Street Journal in the top ten worldwide for producing students with high ethical standards.

    Paula co-organizes and runs the Daniels College of Business, Ethics Boot Camp each quarter, advises the Daniels Fund Ethics Case Competition Team, and also teaches Negotiation and Alternative Dispute Resolution, as well as Drafting Business Deals & Contracts. 

    Paula also has a family law litigation practice in Denver, appearing in Jefferson, Denver, Adams, and Arapahoe Counties. Paula is dedicated to personally handling the details of her cases, taking time to listen and prepare her clients in an ethical manner. She finished another Masters in Conflict Resolution, and has begun incorporating domestic relations and civil litigation mediation into her practice with First Court, Inc. As a mediator, Paula enjoys facilitating resolution of cases through an amicable process that reduces the stress and costs of litigation. 

    Paula began practicing family law after graduating with a law degree from University of Denver Sturm College of Law, a Masters in Business Administration from Daniels College of Business and two Bachelors degrees, Finance and Marketing – summa cum laude – from the Arizona State University. Before becoming a professor and litigator, Paula clerked for First Judicial District Court Judges, the Honorable Randall C. Arp and Honorable Jack W. Berryhill. This valuable behind the scenes look into court process allows Paula to effectively represent a variety of  disputes, and bring that experience to the classroom for real world application.

    First and foremost, Paula is passionate about teaching.  Paula enjoys sharing her practical legal experience with her students, where she engages students in real life disputes and resolution. 

    A Colorado native, Paula resides in Denver, Colorado with her beagles, Copper and Ollie.
