• Biographical Description

  • Hi I am Manisha Shrestha. I am a sixth year graduate student at University of Denver. I am currently working with Dr. Jennifer Hoffman. I am working on studying the polarization characteristics of stellar wind bow shocks around massive stars. I use a Monte Carlo Radiative Transfer code (SLIP) to computational simulation of polarization behavior of light that get scattered in bow shock.

Bow shocks are interaction region of stellar wind and interstellar medium. Thus studying bow shocks around massive stars help us understand properties of stellar wind as well as interstellar medium.
