  • Presentation to Pre-Service Teachers at UC Denver

    Creation and presentation of Population Education curriculum to a pre-service elementary science course at the University of Colorado, Denver campus. Curriculum was presented as well as the inclusion of differentiation for talented and gifted students with each lesson.

    Created a school-based professional development course/book study for TAG Cluster teachers and those interested in becoming TAG Cluster Teachers

    Lisa Turner & Michelle DuBois created a hybrid course, Engagement for 2e Learners, based on the CDE Level I & Level II Twice Exceptional Courses created and linked to Schoology. 

  • Use of Prezi for presentation about Video Gaming and Gifted Students

    Creation of a presentation for Child Development Class, using an alternative presentation style rather than PPt or paper. 

  • CDE Take Five Unfolding Gifted Programming - Colorado Dept. of Education

    Training in all programs, successfull taught Raising Thinking Skills, a Concept-Based Model

    • This course will assist teachers to build higher level thinking skills and expertise for gifted learners via “pathways” for creative, critical, and reflective thinking. Strategies for building higher level thinking through different questioning models will be highlighted as just one approach to “bump up” the thinking levels of gifted students. Each section in this module will assist teachers to build skills for the development of a concept-based lesson or unit framed around essential questions and higher level questions for gifted students.

  • Leadership in Technology Integration and 21st Century Skills

    Application and selection to the first Technology Cohort in the school district as a means to utilize technology to enhance instruction, differentiation and learning for students as part of 21st Century skills leadership.  Advancing opportunities for talented and gifted students and for leadership in the inclusion of technology as a tool for effective instruction.
