Laird Hunt, Assistant Professor of English, teaches fiction in DU's creative writing program. He is the author of a book of short stories, mock parables and histories, The Paris Stories (Smokeproof Press) and two novels, The Impossibly (Coffee House Press) and Indiana, Indiana (Coffee House Press). His writings have appeared in the United States and abroad, online and off, in, among other places, The Future Dictionary of America, Civil Disobediences, Double Room, McSweeney's, Ploughshares, Grand Street, Fence, Conjunctions, Brick, Mentor and Zoum Zoum. His reviews have appeared in Rain Taxi, the Review of Contemporary Fiction and the St. Mark's Poetry Project Newsletter. He has been a fellow at the MacDowell Colony and spent Spring 2003 as writer-in-residence at the Camargo Foundation in Cassis, France.
