  • Candidate's Statement

Professors go through various stages in their careers, and when you reach a senior stage, you're asked to write a "candidate's statement" describing why you teach and conduct research in the way that you do, and how you hope that your work will contribute to the lives of the students and peers with whom you interact. Below is my candidate's statement from 2013, when I was reviewed and promoted to Full Professor.
