The Graduate Research and Performance Summit: Breaking Down the Silos
Friday, Feb. 7, 2014
9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Sturm Hall and Driscoll Center, University of Denver
The Graduate Research and Performance Summit compliments the mission of the Graduate Student Government fostering inclusivity within interdisciplinary research and dialogue among the DU community.
The Graduate Research and Performance Summit: Breaking Down the Silos on cross-disciplinary research examines the nature of disciplinary practices, and the interdisciplinary practices that arise in the context of graduate student research.
As a graduate body at the University of Denver, we want to celebrate interdisciplinary scholarship, which involves the process of answering complex questions and solving problems that cannot be addressed within the bounds of a discipline. It can be said, then, that all scholarship embodies the spirit of interdisciplinary.
In this way, we understand interdisciplinary practice as the integration of insights from multiple domains of knowledge to produce a more holistic analysis of the most pressing contemporary challenges. It is also an invitation to showcase the wide-ranging multi-disciplinary and transdisciplinary work of the graduate students to the DU community.
