  • Biographical Overview

  • Anthony Fulginiti is an associate professor with interests that involve identifying and leveraging protective factors, such as social connectedness, to inform suicide prevention programming in vulnerable populations in the context of community-based research. Raised in New Jersey, he received his undergraduate and graduate education at the University of Tampa and University of South Florida, respectively. He spent considerable time working in mental health and health care settings before going on to receive his Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of Southern California. Informed by his clinical background, he is committed to research, teaching, and service activity that builds healthy social ties and networks to promote and preserve life.
