• Graduation Application Deadlines
    All students must apply to be considered for graduation via PioneerWeb, as outlined in these step-by-step directions. IMPORTANT NOTE for DENVER CAMPUS PROGRAM: If you have a certificate, you must fill out two, seperate graduation applications: one for your MSW, and one for your certificate. 
    • Summer Quarter 2022: April 4, 2022***
    • Fall Quarter 2022: June 21, 2022***
    • Winter Quarter 2023: September 19, 2022
    • Spring Quarter 2023: January 10, 2023
    • Summer Quarter 2023: April 3, 2023
    • Fall Quarter 2023: June 19, 2023

     

    ***If it is past the deadline, please apply via the Late Graduation Application, here.

    For your reference, you can verify the status of your graduation application, as follows: login to PioneerWeb > click on the “Student” tab > click on "Student Profile." In your student profile, you will find a section entitled “Graduation Information,” which will list your graduation status and any active applications you may have. In the far left column, there is also a link entitled “View Application to Graduate” for additional information.

  • When will my degree post?

    Your degree posts 4 to 6 weeks after grades post. 

    Grading deadlines:  

    • Summer Quarter 2022: Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 10pm
    • Fall Quarter 2022: TBA
    • Winter Quarter 2023: TBA
    • Spring Quarter 2023: TBA
    • Summer Quarter 2023: TBA

    You can verify your grades or whether your degree has posted via your unofficial transcripts (accessible in PioneerWeb/Student Profile) the day after grades are due. *If you do not see a grade posted, reach out to your instructor asap.*

  • Official Transcripts

    Offical transcripts are ordered on line. here. Or you can follow this path via your PioneerWeb:  MyWeb tab>Go to Self-Service button>Student>Student Records>Request Printed/Official Transcripts. OR Go to the 'Student' Tab, then 'Records/Requests', then 'Request Printed/Official' transcript.  

  • Diplomas

    Diplomas are mailed out during the below dates. You will receive a confirmation email from the DU Registrar.

    • Spring Quarter 2022: August 1-5, 2022
    • Summer Quarter 2022: October 17-21, 2022
    • Fall Quarter 2022: TBA
    • Winter Quarter 2023: TBA
    • Spring Quarter 2023: TBA

    Diploma information and how to check the status of your diploma can be found here. If you never received your diploma and it is after the above dates, please email registrar@du.edu with your name, your program, and your DU ID.

    The DU Office of the Chancellor holds commecement ceremonies twice each year in June and August. Please visit DU's Commencement page for the following information:

    IMPORTANT NOTES:

    • The Spring Commencement Ceremony in June is open to students that graduated during the previous Fall Quarter or Winter Quarters, as well as current Spring Quarter graduation candidates.

     

    • Summer Quarter graduation candidates are eligible to particiapte in the Summer Commencement Ceremony in August.
      • The DU Commencement website WILL NOT have any information posted regarding the August Ceremonyuntil after the conclusion of the June Ceremony. 
  • GSSW Celebrations

    New!  On behalf of GSSW, all AY 2021-2022 graduates and graduation candidates are cordially invited to join us for the following events:

    • Thursday, June 09, 2022 - 10:00 to 11:30 am - GSSW Virtual Graduation Celebration
      • Let us celebrate you and all those that supported you on this journey! Join GSSW for this special, virtual event dedicated to all AY 2021-2022 graduates and graduation candidates, featuring a keynote from poet, writer, artist, and educator Tanaya Winder, and virtual toasts by faculty and staff. This event is open to all AY 21-22 GSSW graduates and candidates, as well as staff and faculty. Graduating students are welcome to invite family and friends to witness this special occasion.

     

    • Friday, June 10, 2022 - 1:00 to 2:45 pm - GSSW Open House
      • Weather and COVID protocols permitting, please join GSSW staff and faculty for an informal, open house to celebrate all AY 2021-2022 graduates and graduation candidates, just prior to the DU Commencement Ceremony. Graduating students are welcome to bring guests. Dessert and light refreshments will be served.

    Please note that these gathering are separate and distinct from the DU Commencement ceremony that will be hosted by the University of Denver on Friday, June 10, 2022.
