  • Design Improvement (DI) for Equity

  • What is Design Improvement?

The Design Improvement model integrates the phases of Design Thinking with the mindsets of Liberatory Design, and the principles of Improvement Science to provide school and/or district leadership teams with a process to design and accelerate improvement efforts. The goal of this process is to create and sustain productive system-level change with an ongoing emphasis on equity and anti-racist practices and to increase outcomes for students. Our philosophical approach is that to change deliberately, yet with urgency, builds sustainability by expanding leadership in the school and leveraging the insights and strengths of students, teachers, and communities.
