    Carson De Fries is a current PhD student at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work. She received her Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Aging Services and Policy from DU and a BA in Psychology from the University of Kansas. After receiving her MSW, De Fries worked as the Intergenerational Program Coordinator at the Knoebel Institute for Healthy Aging where she conducted community-based research on the impacts of intergenerational programs on issues like ageism and social isolation across the age spectrum. Her interests include community-level interventions to support individuals as they age, intergenerational relationships, end-of-life care, and gerontology education.
