  • Clinic Community Engagement Scholarship

  • In 2016, Dr. Pusavat created the Clinic Community Engagement Scholarship (CCES). The CCES was established to provide Counseling Psychology (CP) students with real world volunteer experience that serves communities in need. It supports the mission and vision of the University of Denver and the Morgridge College of Education, particularly by taking an active approach to working towards positive change and social equity. The CCES provides opportunities for students to serve in an education and prevention role in the greater Denver community by offering mental health screenings, mental health education, and appropriate referrals. The CCES increases students’ awareness of marginalized groups in the community and the great need for mental health services. It brings attention to the way CP students can live their own mission and values through the skills they've learned in the CP program. The CCES helps students better understand the many roles they can take personally and professionally to be of service to people in need.
